Et Tu. PBS?

Tonight on The News Hour with Jim Lehrer on PBS, Shields and Brooks were asked about McClellan's statement "Bush may have been instrumental" in outing Valerie Plame. As one, they down-played the importance of the issue. They ignored the facts that Libby and Cheney certainly were involved and, instead, focused on the idea that Bush "may have" been.
Essentially, they looked only at the matter as it will affect the next election and Brooks wrapped up his statement with the words, "This election isn't about Bush."

Then, both Washington Week and The McLaughlin Group said nothing about the book.

Once again, the media are ignoring the fact that our "leaders" broke the law with impunity--and, from the look of things--with immunity, as well.

I guess we will have to wait for Congress to come and see what they will do. Maybe Waxman might start an investigation.

hey, LT--
well, given their track record, I'm not holding my breath.

I did just see an piece by Bill Moyers that really took the media to task for being such bobble-heads during the run-up to the Iraq war. he thoroughly indicted the press generally, too, for their willingness to report on Brittney and ignore the important issues.

I wish THEY would wake up to what's happening to this country.

I just can't get past the idea that those in the media think that committing treason isn't a newsworthy item. What in the world is wrong with these people????

hey, ME--
I just keep shaking my head over both the MSM and Congress and their willingness to look the other way. I have no clue what goes on in what passes for the brains of those people.

sometimes I just want to say, 'the hell with the whole thing' and leave this country.

two crows- after reading Let's Talk and Let's Talk About It today, I am ready to pack my bags. Honestly, I've never been so concerned in all my life. Go to his site...it's incredible, and very scary. Think about what you saw and what I've told you about the shipment in Las Vegas,

Hey stranger!
You know damn well he is guilty but he will get away with it. It peeves me that they downplay treason by the President. What does that tell you?
It kills me that another timely event gets in the way and Bush is not getting hit with this as Dems said they would not talk politics during the writers strike.
How damn convenient. plus you hear nothing that he secretly passed another law, this time enabling him to sieze the assets of anyone that hampers his warmonger efforts.
