I must admit I'm not quite as open-minded as Marty paints the majority of liberals. At least, I haven't listened to Rush in years. I'm not interested in replacing my radio on a weekly basis after hurling it out the nearest window.
I do, though, subscribe to NewsMax and read The Washington Times regularly-- so I suppose all is not lost. :)

I used to listen to Limbaugh every once in awhile when Bill Clinton was running for President. It had more to do with something to laugh at than anything. I was getting such a kick out of his rantings about how all the small businesses were going to shut down and our economy was going to be a mess. Little did he know that he was a psychic, he just got the wrong President!
Right now, I listen to the Progressive Talk Station in my area, which I'm pleased to say is moving to a new, stronger channel!
I occasionally read conservative blogs, to see what the other side is up to. Also, I try to spend a little time every day watching Faux Noise. It's a useful research tool, because however they interpret the news, points me to look in the opposite direction for the real facts.
hey, ya'll--
yep, I read NewsMax and the Wash Times for the same reasons.
it's good to know what the conservatives are thinking and how they're rationalizing themselves.
like the time they put forth the idea that Ted Kennedy was a member of an anti-women organization in order to justify the fact that Alito belonged to an alumni group that actively worked to keep women and minorities out of Princeton.
the group Kennedy belonged to? the Owl Club [a subset of his school fraternity] and, btw -- the club was founded by Geo Washington and John Adams-- remember them?
my guess is that the people who condemned the club as anti-women would've gone ballistic if _any_fraternity attempted to enroll women. . . .
