"Nothing short of an aroused public can change things; nothing less than democracy is at stake." - Bill Moyers
I am a late just recent follower of MSNBC! I haven't followed her yet I am still stuck on Olbermann primarily but Mathews too.
oh, Jim-- you're in for a treat!she follows Olbermann every night. he introduces her show at the end of his.she's got a wonderful sense of humor and, imo, does a better job than Mathews for sure [she doesn't interrupt and shout people down, for instance]. Rachel doesn't rant-- well, she doesn't rant about anyone but BushCo. she does a great segment called "Scrub, Rinse, Repeat" about the crap that's left over from the Bush white house.she also does a piece called 'The GOP in Exile' where she points out the stupidity that's going to keep them out. It's usually hilarious -- and I learn lots of stuff I end up putting in here.and she's a dynamite interviewer.try her. you'll like her.
I adore Rachel! I watch her almost every night, and as much as I like Keith, I like her even more. She's one smart cookie and probably the best interviewer on TV today. He does her homework and asks the right follow-up questions. Also she's funny and impish. She's one swell package! But I have no idea why she wore those horrible glasses on "The View". Someone said she always wears glasses when she's interviewed. It's a mystery, but I'm glad she's out there pushing her show. Makes the ratings go up!
hi Ramona--yep. with Rachel, I get a great education along with that wonderful sense of humor. she helps me know the worst of what's happening these days and still not give in to despair.I enjoyed this interview -- I learned a lot about her that I hadn't known. I loved her story about how she came out when she was 17. as to those glasses -- yeah, they're pretty awful.
