At Last! The 'I' Word Surfaces!

'The impeachment threat is real, argues The Nation's John Nichols, as shown by talk show pundits who have begun to discuss it seriously.
'According to Nichols, "We are nearing an impeachment moment."

'"The Alberto Gonzales scandal, the under-covered but very real controversy involving abuses of the Patriot Act and the president's increasingly belligerent refusals to treat Congress as a co-equal branch of government are putting the discussion of presidential accountability onto the table from which House Speaker Nancy Pelosi has tried to remove it," Nichols writes.' here is the complete text

NOW will Congress get serious?

Well, on April 28th, there will be impeachment protests in towns and cities all over the country. And everywhere people will be using signs, their bodies, chalk, or anything else they can think of to spell out IMPEACH! Several cities have actions planned already, but we invite everybody to start thinking about the most creative, spectacular, beautiful, and clever ways they can come up with to spell it out. This is a spin-off of the BeachImpeach project on the shores of San Francisco where over 1,100 people spelled out "Impeach!" Find out what is going on in your town, or start your own project. Be a part of history and this media grabbing call to defend our Constitution through impeachment.

Once the Democratic Congress shakes the right wing talking points out of its head ("we don't want to 'put the country' through that again, it will be bad for Democrats in 2008, by the time Bush/Cheney are impeached, they'll be out of office)

If they can stop listening to that BullShit and just do their Constitutional duty, impeachment will happen.

I think so much shit is goign to come out over the next couple of months that if Congress doesn't impeach, they'll look foolish.

yeah, Poli -- I've heard those points put forth.
and my response is:
and so what if they ARE out of office???
last I heard, a crime [or, in this case, a pattern of crimes by serial criminals] was still a crime.

so, IS this a country of laws or isn't it???
